Fall at the Farm
Posted By: John Chakan
So, summer has come to an end, and autumn is upon us. On the farm, there are many things to do before the rains of winter come. Tomorrow, our cows are headed into town to spend a few days with the vet. While they are there, they will be undergoing artificial insemination. Then, next June we hopefully will have three new calves on the farm. Fingers crossed!
I am headed up to the farm on Wednesday to finish up a few projects around camp. Among them, I will be harvesting a few more vegetables from the garden, checking how the pigs are growing, and helping put the pool to bed. I will also be working with Jenny to take care of the animals for the day.
